Petter Iderström Pankinaho
Petter I Pankinaho is a Swedish Trumpet player with a unique sound that can be described as contemporary avant-garde. After long studies of jazz in Sweden he started to look internationally for inspiration. He studied six months in Paris where he discovered the rich and international jazz scene and met one of his biggest inspirations, Ambrose Akinmsuire. Later he became a member of the Betty Carter jazz ahead Program where he met like-minded musicians and mentors like Jason Moran and Markus Printup who shared the same desire to develop the jazz music.
The goal of his debut album “Mood Board” is to create energy and a vibe. Every song has a completely different mood. The music is always curious and constantly searching for the unexplored. The album ranges from drum and bass grooves to hymn-like ballads.
